EMPLOYER DUTY

PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is now a requirement of all employers, it is an employers duty to ensure all employees, clients and customers are free from the danger of electrical shock in the work place.

 

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE

Electrical testing using the latest testing equipment for earth bending, insulation and polarity.

External visual inspection to assess any damage to cables, plugs and appliance casing.

Internal visual inspection of plug to ensure that it is wired correctly, that the cable is in safe condition and correctly secured.

Inspection of fuse to ensure it is of the correct rating.
